A LIMITLESS 2015

A friend of mine challenged me recently just by inviting me to an event through Facebook. The event was a night where we would each choose a word to focus on for the new year. This word (or phrase) could be something that spoke to us on any level, but she encouraged us to put prayer to the decision as it would serve as a theme of sorts for 2015.

I wound up being unable to attend the event, but I haven’t stopped thinking about it from the moment I got her invitation until now. I thought about this past year and the things I felt God was challenging me toward in the coming year, and the word that sprung into my mind was almost immediate:

LIMITLESS

What does limitless mean to me? It means that I am breaking the ceilings of my comfort zones and pushing my boundaries on all levels. I want to try news things, I want to break cycles of behavior that I’ve allowed to be driven by my own comfort. I want to be so in touch with the Lord that when He moves, I’m already on board because I sensed His leading. I want to live a life without limits.

I encourage you to pray and seek God’s word for your year. I think we’ll all be surprised by the many ways in which the Lord uses our word to challenge and encourage us over the next 365 days. Happy New Year, friends!
